SuperSTAR Summer Camp

Exciting Adventures in Wonderland await your child as they experience multiple theme days like Mad Hatter Monday, Tea Party Tuesday, and Whimsical Wonderland Wednesday. Perfect for artists of all levels, this week-long journey through the artistic rabbit hole combines creativity, art education, and a touch of magic to inspire young minds. Young artists will explore the mind-bending art movements of surrealism, abstract, and op art through famous artists like Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, and Victor Vasarely., Guided by professional artists, they’ll hone their artistic skills using vibrant paints, pastels, pencils, and clay, to paint dreamscapes, create optical illusions, and sculpt wacky Wonderland objects. Campers will venture outdoors to collaborate on nature-inspired art installations such as a painted stone pathway or to design a maze or labyrinth. Chess Adventure Quest: Battle for Blackrook’s Treasure

Ahoy, Mateys! Ready your sails and sharpen your wits for the ultimate chess voyage where each day brings a new chapter of adventure and mystery. Through a series of mini-tournaments, puzzles, riddles, challenges, and teamwork, campers will plunge into the world of chess, learning about its origins, iconic matches, legendary players, and different variations, all while preparing for an epic final battle to unearth the treasure hidden by the notorious Blackrook the Pirate. This camp will not only improve your child’s chess skills but will also enhance their problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork as they collaborate to outwit Blackrook. Each day is packed with action, creativity, and the excitement of discovering chess through a fun and immersive pirate theme! Using the strategies and moves they’ve learned throughout the week, Chess players will face off at the Chess Tournament Showdown. This event will showcase their tactical skills as they battle for Blackrook’s hidden treasure! Parents and friends are invited to cheer them on and enjoy the action-packed games!

Cooking Travel Adventures: A Taste of Europe

Grab your chef hat and suitcase as you take off on a European culinary expedition this summer! Campers will receive a “passport to flavor”, collecting stamps from each country they "visit" as they discover unique flavors, traditions, and cooking techniques. Young chefs will explore the exciting world of European cuisine through hands-on cooking, games, and creative challenges. Led by professional chefs, campers will learn essential kitchen skills like slicing, chopping, sautéing, blending, assembling, and others while crafting delicious dishes from France, Italy, Spain, Greece, and more! They’ll prepare sweet treats like crepes, tiramisu, and Swiss fondue, along with savory meals like pizza, gyros, and tapas. To top it off, they'll create fresh, fruity smoothies at the European smoothie bar each day! With outdoor activities like Culinary Quest scavenger hunts, Around the World in 80 Tastes challenges, and the fast-paced Chef’s Relay Races, campers will have a blast while learning in a fun, engaging environment. The week will culminate in a Bistro-style tasting event where junior chefs showcase their skills and share their European creations with family and friends.

Dance: Pop STAR Boot Camp

Calling all future superstars! Step into the spotlight where aspiring singers and dancers learn to perform like their favorite pop icons! Guided by professionals, campers will learn the latest dance moves to their favorite pop songs. From high-energy choreography inspired by mega pop stars like Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and Beyoncé to learning the art of stage presence and performance, this camp inspires the dreams of our future performers. Campers will enjoy daily segments of singing, dancing, and stage skills, including solo and ensemble performance techniques. Campers will extend their creative skills as they help design their performance looks, craft album covers, and even produce and star in their own music video! Dancers will be encouraged to incorporate the outdoor environment in their music videos to create unique “sets” made up of the landscape around them. At the end of the week, family and friends are invited to a spectacular showcase where performers display their newly polished skills in a concert-style performance that will leave everyone cheering for more. Engineering: Mini Makers Lab

Young innovators will dive into a world of cutting-edge technology by designing and building their very own brand and board game from scratch in this hands-on maker camp! Each day, they will explore the latest in cutting-edge technology, including Cricut crafting, 3D printing, sublimation design, and more. Outdoor activities will keep creativity flowing with a lifesize board game challenge and other team-building exercises. Students will collaborate with rotating think tanks of fellow campers, get inspired by guest speakers, and refine their ideas. The week culminates in Shark Tank-style presentations, where students will pitch their game and play it with fellow engineer-makers! Take home their personalized creations and a fully developed board game to share with friends and family. Get ready for a week of endless creativity, innovation, and hands-on fun!

Fashion Slumber Party

Grab your friends, sleeping bags, and favorite loungewear, you’re invited to a Fashion Slumber Party! This hands-on camp invites aspiring fashion designers to join the exciting world of fashion and accessories with a slumber party twist. Campers will design and make their slumber party essentials throughout the fun-filled week as they learn fashion fundamentals like designing, sewing, and decorating their cozy creations. From chic and fuzzy slippers to cozy throws and stylish pajama-inspired accessories, every camper will leave with their personalized slumber party collection. Campers will participate in exciting outdoor activities like pillow toss Olympics, fashion relay, and dreamwear design challenge. The week culminates with our exciting Fashion Slumber Party where campers showcase their handmade creations, enjoy delicious treats, play charades, sing karaoke, and make cool glow-in-the-dark crafts.

Idea Lab: Wonders of the World with Lego® Robotics

Join our future archeologists in exploring the beautiful wonders of the world, with their trusty robot companions by their side. Using LEGO® bricks and robotics skills to recreate awe-inspiring landmarks and discover ancient secrets, we’re digging up the past and building our coding knowledge at the same time! From the majestic Great Wall of China to the dazzling Taj Mahal, archeology meets technology at the Idea Lab! Each day, Lego builders will tackle a new wonder, learning fun facts, engineering tricks, and the art of creative problem-solving on the fly. Design your Colosseum to have a secret trap door, fit a tiny Pharaoh into the Great Pyramid, or command a robo-demolition team without destroying ancient artifacts. The end-of-week culmination gives family and friends an all-access pass to the wonders of the world as they are taken on a guided tour of the amazing campers’ LEGO® creations. Little Dippers

Get your incoming kindergartener ready for the school year with STAR’s Kinder Prep! This program is specially tailored for incoming TK and Kindergartners. This opportunity is to get your TK & Kindergartner prepped! Get a head start and explore science, art, movement and much more. They’ll be comfortable in a fun, safe, and closely monitored setting. Children will love meeting new friends and getting familiar with the school setting. Don’t miss this opportunity to get your kindergartner prepped!

Media Arts: Digital Creators-Filmmaking Outside the Lines

Step into the world of unconventional storytelling! In the spirit of quirky filmmakers like Tim Burton, John Krasinksi, and the Daniels, this unique summer camp invites aspiring filmmakers to embrace the wacky and wonderful world of filmmaking. Campers will experiment with creating imaginative film shorts using unique props, creating scenes like a backward version of a basketball game, or capturing Super Mario Kart characters race in reverse. They’ll learn the foundation of filmmaking, screenwriting, storyboarding, acting for the camera, cinematography, sound design, and even the art of editing. Young filmmakers bring their wildest visions to life using iPads, professional-grade tools, green screens, stop-motion animation, fun DIY props, and more as they discover their unique role in the filmmaking process. On the last day of camp, families are invited to attend a red-carpet event to watch zany film shorts where the campers become the stars of the show!

Minecraft: Heroes vs. Titans

Campers unleash their imagination as they venture into the world of ancient Greek myths and legends! In this camp, campers will learn fundamental architecture skills to create some of the most famous buildings in History. Throughout the week, campers will tackle daily challenges from building fortified castles and exploring never-ending labyrinthitis, and dungeons, to creating traps, solving puzzles, learning the secrets of this, and more. Campers will come face to face with Mythological creatures through the lens of Minecraft. They’ll need to vanquish mythological foes while they traverse this immersive world inspired by mythic heroes, towering titans, and legendary battles between good and evil. Each week will culminate in an exciting event where family and friends are invited to experience the epic world their campers have created and conquered. Through guided map tours, a team battle royale, interactive gameplay stations, and an achievement ceremony, this camp will bring excitement, learning, and many epic quests you’ll never forget!

RockSTAR: Rock n’ Roll Time Machine!

Step into the Rock n’ Roll Time Machine where young rockstars will travel back to the 80’s to create a band, compose songs, and perform in a live concert at the end of the week. Aspiring Rockstars will team up and choose instruments like guitar, drums, keyboards, or vocals to form a real rock band they’ll get to name. Campers will have morning and afternoon rehearsals to perform for their big performance. Guided by professional musicians, young musicians will learn basic digital music production using GarageBand, a user-friendly digital audio workstation. They'll learn the basics of recording, editing, and mixing to bring their musical ideas to life. Campers will create retro art projects like 80’s inspired hair metal and new wave clothing, design 80’s style vinyl records and album covers, and create an 80’s style music video. The camp will culminate in an exciting live concert for family and friends where each band takes the stage to showcase their musical talents! All musical equipment will be provided.

Science: Pika Pika Survival Lab

Discover the secrets of survival science as campers take off on an exciting Pokemon Safari! They’ll learn essential skills to thrive in the great outdoors as each day is filled with timed challenges, endurance tests, fun experiments, and teamwork as campers unlock their inner survivalist. From building life-saving shelters to crafting escape rafts, decoding animal tracks, and even discovering edible insects, this camp is a one-of-a-kind experience that blends science, creativity, and adventure. No need to bring Pokemon cards, campers will get plenty to trade, battle, and take home. By the end of the week, campers participate in our Pika Pika Survival Quest, where families are invited to join. They’ll put their new survival skills to the test and demonstrate their knowledge of how to navigate the wild with a compass, create water filtration systems, and send rescue signals like pros. Campers gain confidence, critical thinking skills, and a newfound respect for nature. Each camper will leave equipped with their own “Survivalist Starter Kit” and a sense of accomplishment after mastering the ultimate survival challenge!

Sports: All-STAR Sports Mash Up

Gear up for an action-packed summer with All-Star Sports Mash-Up, the ultimate medley of exciting sports designed to keep your young athletes moving, learning, and having a blast! This unique camp combines T-ball, Flag Football, Ultimate Frisbee, and Pickleball to create an unforgettable week of high-energy fun. Under the guidance of our experienced coaches, campers will learn t-ball batting, fielding, and pitching skills, flag football throwing, catching and strategies play, ultimate frisbee proficiency passing, catching, and defensive marking, and pickleball serving, returning, and footwork basics. Throughout the week, campers will explore the unique fitness benefits and teamwork skills of each sport, while discovering how similar yet different each sport is through rules, strategies, and play styles. The week culminates in the Mega Medley Showdown, an exciting sports challenge where teams compete in a friendly, multi-sport competition that brings all their new skills together. Parents and families are invited to cheer on the budding all-stars!

Theatre: Beetlejuice Junior

Get ready to Shake, Shake, Senora! Join us for a two-week-long unforgettable musical experience that brings this hilariously kooky musical, based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon, to life! Aspiring performers will immerse themselves into the art of acting, singing, and dancing while learning the ins and outs of creating a professional musical production. From memorizing lines to mastering dance numbers, this camp is packed with fun, creativity, and teamwork. Taught by professionals, young thespians will work on their roles, learning how to deliver lines with emotion, timing, and clarity. They’ll learn simple choreography and how to perform Beetlejuice’s ghostly numbers. Campers will practice as an ensemble to polish group numbers, harmonies, and transitions for a seamless show. Students will expand their creativity to create personal actor bios and character backstories and make eerie props like sandworm puppets or glow-in-the-dark gravestones. A frightful surprise awaits family and friends when they attend the lively and hilarious musical production of Beetlejuice Jr! So jump in the line and rock your Summer!

Start off your summer with a bang Eco style!  Gators splashing around in pools!  Help a lizard get vitamin D by sunbathing!  Water fun with our parrots!  Meet like minded animal lovers, and forge forever friendships!

Week 2 : African Adventures 

June 16th - June 20th (No Camp On 19th for Juneteenth Holiday)

Join us on a savefari as we trek through the savannas of Africa!  Meet marvelous monitor lizards. Caravan to the Congo to chat with an African Grey Parrot.  Tour the African terrain with giant sulcata tortoises that can live over 150 years!  

Week 3: Junior Eco Staff 

June 23rd  - June 27th

Welcome future animal keepers! Our most popular week, with enrollment typically filling up very fast, Junior Eco staffers work with our Eco Station’s Animal Husbandry Team in feeding and caring for many of our rescued exotic wildlife. Discover the many ways we can protect this wonderful world for ourselves and the rest of the animal kingdom!

Week 4: Stars and Stripes

June 30th  - July 3rd (No Camp July 4th)

RED tegus, WHITE cockatoos, and BLUE and gold macaws!  Celebrate our independence, Eco style! 

  • Meet and care for our American animal ambassadors. 

  •  Party at the park with our plant based bbq!  

  • Blast off your very own water bottle rocket, and learn about jet propulsion in cephalopods!    

Week 5: Junior Eco Staff 2

July 7th - July 11th

Due to high enrollment and increasing interest, we will be offering a second Junior Eco Staff week. Campers will work closely with our Eco Station educators caring for our creepy crawlies, tremendous tortoises, and lively lizards! Help feed some produce to our Pacu, meat to our Snapping Turtles, and meet new animals who have recently begun calling the Eco Station home!

Week 6: Reptiles Rock 

July 14th - July 18th

Explore our remarkable reptiles! Rendezvous with an alligator, greet a gecko, babysit a baby iguana or marvel at our monitors! Learn all about these fierce friends and help us enrich the lives of our wondrous rescued reptiles!

Week 7: Jr Eco Staff 3

July 21st - July 25th

Third time's the charm! We are hosting a third week of Jr Eco staff!  Walk a lizard on a leash, laser time with Lulu the bobcat!  Find out fun ways we provide our rescued animals with enrichment.  Animals are happier and healthier when we stimulate their bodies and minds, just like us!  

Week 8: Best of Eco

July 28th - August 1st

Get groovy with our geckos, boogie with our birds or have some fun with our rescued furry friends, you won’t know what to expect from this wild week!  Our most fun and exciting activities from the summer happen all week long! Campers have the opportunity to vote on which one of their favorite rotations they experience next!  

Week 9: Jr Eco Staff 4

August 4th- August 8th

Back by popular demand!  Our fourth and final week of Jr Eco Staff for the summer is packed with animal interactions.  Assist our Husbandry Team in administering animal treatments (bathing, nail trimming, etc..).  Join us to find out what it takes to provide animals with the care they need to thrive!   

Week 10: Vip Eco Experience 

August 11th- August 15th

Come join us for one of a kind VIP Animal Experience! Campers have the opportunity to work closely with our husbandry team, and find out all about the different diets, and care that the Animals at the Eco Station need to be happy and healthy! This week is packed with interactive animal experiences where campers will learn how to handle a variety of different animal species, and assist our husbandry staff with treatments for our rescued animals. Feed a carnivore a meal, prepare a salad for the tortoises, and much much more!

STAR Summer Campers toured the SoFi Stadium and got the VIP, checked out the locker room and ran onto the field!

STAR Summer Campers visited the California Science Center and watched an epic movie at the IMAX Theater.

• All Campers TK-5th grade are enrolled in 5 day camps will participate in the weekly field trips.

• No refunds will be issued. No alternative options will be offered.

• Field trip details will be sent via email and posted at or near the sign-in/sign-out table.

• All campers will take a bus from your camp site to the field trip location.

• Students will need to bring a disposable ("brown paper bag") lunch unless otherwise specified.

• Students must wear the teal-blue STAR summer camp t-shirt. Camp Tshirts will be issued on or before field trip day if you do not have one already. 

Parents please note: All campers will participate in the field trip. There is no alternative to the field trip attendance other than opting out of camp for the day. A refund will not be issued for opting out or being absent on the day of the field trip. SuperSTAR Camps are offered on a 3 day minimum basis.

Field Trip Excludes these sites and these sites only: Mt. Washington, Wonderland and the STAR Eco Station. These camps will not be going on field trips.
